Adrian is a Partner and Head of Employment at Jurit, with over 25 years’ experience acting for both employers and employees on risk management and employment dispute matters.
He has worked in the City since 1998 where he trained at a Magic Circle firm and worked for a Top 10 UK firm for many years before joining Jurit to establish our Employment practice.
He is experienced in providing strategic risk management advice to employers, providing practical and commercial advice on resolving workplace and boardroom disputes with commercial and client-focused solutions, as well as conducting complex employment law disputes for senior executives.
Adrian specialises in TUPE and business restructuring and advises on restrictive covenants and team moves.
Throughout his career, Adrian has been involved in major corporate transactions. As a leading adviser on the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE) he has managed outsourcing transactions in the financial services and technology sectors, and worked with the Employment Lawyers Association on a response to the Government’s consultation on TUPE reform.
Adrian has also worked with the Employment Lawyers Association’s Legislative and Policy Committee, responding to Government consultations on legal reform. He has also advised government entities in the Middle
East on employment law reforms, and co-ordinates advice on multi-jurisdictional projects.
To support the invaluable service performed by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Adrian also provides pro bono employment law advice to the charity.
I have worked with a number of employment lawyers during my 27-year HR career and without doubt Adrian Hoggarth is the most commercially minded lawyer I have had the pleasure of working with. Pragmatic, commercial understanding is critical from the perspective of employee/employer balance and the foundation for fair and reasonable outcomes. To know the law is one thing – to apply it is very much another and it is a skill that Adrian and his team have fully mastered.
Adrian presents options and solutions in a way that is clear and simple to comprehend, often unravelling many layers of complexity to procure a sensible and direct recommendation. No detail goes uninterrogated – resulting in confidence inducing work that one knows will stand up to challenge and interrogation. Adrian is reliable and often heavily relied upon by my clients for his insight and perspective into their issues.
Finally, Adrian is incredibly nice to work with. A much undervalued skill. There is nothing better than working with a partner whose company you both enjoy and trust. If you are lucky enough to be offered Adrian’s expertise, I suggest you take it.Tracey Reid - Owner - Tapestry HR Ltd
