About Christian
Christian Abletshauser is a family lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience advising individuals, families and business owners on complex family law matters. He is a Partner at Jurit and leads its Family Law practice.
Christian advises individuals and families on complex and high-value family law matters, often involving significant wealth, sophisticated financial arrangements and international issues. His practice encompasses divorce and financial remedies, arrangements for children, nuptial agreements and cohabitation disputes.
His approach is strategic, practical and direct. He is deeply committed to his clients and considers not only the immediate legal issues, but the wider personal and financial implications for them and their families.
Christian regularly advises on family disputes involving reputational sensitivities and international considerations and, where appropriate, works discreetly with specialist advisers to ensure that the wider strategy is carefully coordinated.
His international work has involved more than 40 jurisdictions, including the USA, Canada, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, the UAE, Hong Kong, Australia and South Africa. He regularly navigates jurisdictional issues and develops strategy across borders, working with overseas advisers where required.
Christian has built a loyal client following. Many clients continue to turn to him for advice long after the immediate family law issues have been resolved, including on wider personal and strategic matters.
Prior to joining Jurit, Christian spent nearly two decades as a Partner and Head of Family Law, building and leading the firm’s family and litigation practice.
Christian qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2003. He is also a qualified Collaborative Lawyer and a member of Resolution.
