About David

As a consultant solicitor at Jurit, David provides expert advice on the issues relating to IT, IP and Cyber law.

Throughout his lengthy career, David has acted on or led many mega / large and small outsourcing / SI / Cyber / Cloud deals, and has advised on global and local software / SaaS / IP deals in over 40 jurisdictions across all industry sectors, as well as in the public sector.

David enjoys working with senior and junior management in IT, Cyber and software supplier and customer organisations to resolve over-complexity and cure alleged legal “show

  • stoppers”, to reach a positive solution for his clients.

Having graduated MA; LLB in Edinburgh and Glasgow Universities in the 1970s, he went on to spend 15 years as a Warfare Officer in the Royal Navy where he qualified as a Mandarin linguist (MA).

He then returned to private practice and has acted as solicitor and negotiator both in the UK and internationally at:
