Collaboration in Treviso
Our collaboration with Franchi
I recently returned to Italy with Mike Morris, following my first trip with Robert Marcus earlier in the year.
Working with our correspondents Cristina and Alberto, we visited our friends at Unindustria Treviso to advise some of their members interested in doing business in the UK. The topics were similar to last time, including joint ventures, establishing a business alongside an agent and termination of an agency agreement. The industry sectors were food, wine and furniture (Treviso is the home of Prosecco).
We also met with Conindustria Padua who are organising members to attend an exhibition in the Middle East, where Paul de Cordova and I have spent many years living and working.
The associations for each of these towns and Vicenza work in cooperation and provide a range of services to support members trading internationally. Most companies are engaged in manufacturing and are family owned SMEs.
The weather was considerably warmer than January, so we were able to see a lot more of this beautiful area.
